Teleradiology and image transfer
Immediate access to specialist radiological expertise is now feasible with the advent of digital image transfer (teleradiology), allowing rapid image reporting, expediting patient management and helping to reduce blockage of hospital beds. Teleradiology is the preferred mode of image transmission, as transfer is effectively instantaneous. We have experience of a wide variety of teleradiology links, and can integrate with all contemporary manufacturer’s equipment, and the majority of older systems.
For short-term contracts, such as waiting list initiatives or backlog reporting, Expert Eye also offers a 24 hour courier service for hard copy film reporting. All image transfer facilities conform to national recommended standards, and electronic data is encrypted to ensure data security.
Cost-efficient services
Costs are kept low by minimising overheads. Expensive commissions are eliminated by dealing directly with radiologists, and local hospital overheads for offices, secretarial support, and administration costs are avoided. Our prices are competitive with radiology locum costs and NHS consultant costs.
Expert Eye reporting services can be provided on an item-of-service basis, as short-term contracts or longer-term Service Level Agreements. We are happy to provide a customised quotation for your requirements.
