Expert Eye Radiology Service costs
We aim to provide a quality consultant radiology reporting service. The cost of Expert Eye services are competitive with both locum fees, and NHS consultant costs. Because you deal directly with radiologists, there are no expensive commissions. Hidden wage costs, such as pension contributions, are avoided. By using central reporting stations, expenses such building hire, and institutional overheads charges, which can be substantial, are minimised.
Costs are based on an item-of-service basis for small contracts such as backlog reporting, or small waiting list initiatives. For longer term contracts we are happy to enter service level agreements. Fees are negotiable, depending on the length of contract and level of service required.
For emergency out-of-hours CT cover, there is a small fee for providing telephone cover. If scans are performed, reports are costed on an item-of-service basis. You only pay for what you need. If no scans are requested, there is no extra cost comparing this to the cost of a locum radiologist paid by at an hourly rate for the 16 hour period, this is extremely cost effective.
