Radiology Reporting Services

Expert Eye can provide the following radiological services for your institution:
Teleradiology reporting: We provide high quality, fast turn-around, radiology reporting by UK-trained consultant radiologists. We have particular expertise in CT and MRI reporting.
Radiological support for all specialties: We have radiologists with expertise in all major specialties. If you have need of specific radiological subspecialist support, we can provide a tailored service.
Waiting list initiative reporting: Expert Eye can provide short or intermediate term support for waiting time initiatives. This is particularly suitable for MRI, and we can integrate image links with mobile MRI units to allow fast transmission of data to the reporting centre.
Clearing of reporting backlogs: Using reliable, fast and dedicated courier services, we can report most backlogs of radiology reporting within 24 hours of receipt.
Out-of-hours CT and MRI cover: Because of rising demands for out-of-hours imaging by clinicians, many hospitals are finding it increasingly difficult or impossible to provide comprehensive radiological cover for emergency CT. Expert Eye can provide an out of-hours teleradiology reporting service on a short term, intermittent, or comprehensive long term basis to help avoid crises in radiology on-call.
Radiology staffing shortage cover: If there is a short term or long-term problem with radiologist staffing, we can provide the support for triage of requests, study prescription and vetting (IRMER), and reporting of a wide variety of imaging. Unfortunately we cannot provide on-site radiologist support, but using our remote reporting services means that local radiologists and radiology locums can use their time more efficiently to oversee practical procedures, and undertake other duties without the added burden of large piles of reporting.
Mobile MRI service support: Many hospitals start using MRI with a mobile unit visiting weekly or monthly. The learning curve for MRI is steep, and important lesions are more likely to be missed by the inexperienced. Expert Eye radiologists can provide the reassurance that, even during this learning period, scans will be checked by radiologists experienced in MRI.
CT and MRI facilities: Expert Eye has contacts with CT and MRI fixed and mobile facilities throughout the country and Expert Eye can help manage your radiology support for these.
Double reporting: Expert Eye also provides a double-reporting service. We have found that review of reports issued by Expert Eye by local radiologists can be a very effective educational process. Following review of the Expert Eye report, the scan can be reported by the local radiologist when they are more confident of MRI interpretation, or the Expert Eye report can be forwarded directly to the requesting clinician.
Reporting of all imaging modalities: Expert eye radiologists have experience of reporting all medical imaging modalities, including MRI, CT, isotope studies, ultrasound, nuclear medicine studies, and plain radiography.
Direct-access General Practitioner MRI: We have extensive experience in supporting open access imaging services for general practitioners. We have particular expertise in GP open access MRI of the lumbar spine, a service that is becoming increasingly popular throughout the UK.
